Blue Hair don't care

So I've been obsessed with brightly coloured hair and recently I decided to dye mine. I've been saying   I'm going to it for the past year or so but I just never built up the courage till recently.Whenever I'd mention it to someone their first reaction would be something like this,  oh my word that's so cool!!!.... But I don't think you fair enough to pull it off or it's gonna damage your hair!! Someone even told me I'd look like "my little pony" or a peacock.

Anyway after some major contemplation and weighing my pros and cons i decided to go for it!!! And since I'm an avid bidorbuy customer I found my colour online and purchased it before I could change my mind... I decided to go for a blue.. Dark blue so it wouldn't be as noticeable and not bright pink as I'd originally wanted.

Lucky for me, my aunty is a qualified hairdresser and even though she no longer works as one she still helped me out. Before I put the colour on I had to bleach my hair (since i'm a natural brunette) I decided to do something similar to the ombré trend but using blue instead, so I practically bleached half of my head (a warning if anyone plans on bleaching their hair it does indeed damage your hair). Now usually bleaching strips the colour from your hair and leaves your hair almost blonde, for me this wasn't the case. My hair turned into an ugly shade of orange. This happened because I had dyed my hair many times before you see I'm grey and even though I'm only 19 I'm greying more and more each year I fear that by the time I'm 25 I'll be completely grey. So anyway instead of using toner to get to blonde I left it orange because it still had tinges of blonde. Ifigured it would act as green highlights within the blue and look even cooler! I was right!!!
I'll post some pics as soon as I transfer them from my camera.

Some tips and hints for any future drastic hair colour users:

Skullox hair dye- they have a variety of colours and it can be bought
online and delivered to your house from www.bidorbuy.co.za
It costs approx R100

Hydrogen peroxide- can be bought from pharmacies or salons to
lighten up dark hair so the colour shows

Kungoo- Indian coloured spices that come in various colours
It can be bought from almost all spice shops and if mixed with water and
Conditioner to form a paste it takes the form of a hair dye (colour does not last long)
Costs approx R5

I would advise people to do this!!! Have fun with your hair if you aren't happy you can always change your hair colour back to normal that's why dye was invented;)
But do note that brightly coloured hair doesn't last long and maintenance is required every couple of weeks especially if you wash your hair often.

If anyone needs any advice please feel free to ask
