The One That Got Away

We all know of songs that we listen to that just click with a story or someone who is or was a part of our life.
I've been finding that, that has been happening to me a lot recently.
Besides Katy Perry's- The One That Got Away another song that really finds me thinking about someone in my past is Somebody That I Used to Know by Gotye.
I firmly believe that if you loved someone you'll never stop loving them even though you can move on with your life and be happy for them when they move on, but those memories you shared together will never truly disappear unless you get alzeimers (god forbid) or something to that extent.
I guess loving and losing makes us human and stronger people... but it still hurts:)

if you haven't heard those songs i highly recommend you download them.. worth a listen

Hello Everyone
Tips to attain Fabulosity
So my heart breaks daily because i see girls who don't understand just how ridiculous they look. So today I'm feeling nice and not my usual mean self that finds humour in these girls misfortunes and so i'm going to give you some tips to attain a level of fabulosity that will really get haters making you famous;)

Tip 1: Always look fabulous in your display pictures whether it be your bbm profile pic, fb, myspace, twitter etc.. just look fabulous because funny is not sexy and so you just making people believe that you are weird and weird never got the boyfriend or husband.

A tactic that works most times is posing for a pic with a girl who isn't on your level of fabulous and pretty and then making that pic your profile pic because her misfortunes will just make you seem even more fortunate ;)
p.s this doesn't always work because more often than not we have friends that are prettier than us and they end up using our tatic on themselves

Tip 2: Go to the gym... i think this tip is self explanatory and working out does not only make you look good! It even makes your skin look good!

Tip 3: Do not let your sister ever dye your hair with dye that you got free at a bridal show... recipe for disaster!

Tip 4: this is a no brainer but it surprises me at how may people don't do this... shower daily #thatisall

Tip 5: this is something my grandmother told me... "if your father is poor then it isn't your fault but if your husband is then it is" take heed girls it's no joke ;). She also told me that as he hands you money the repulsion for him will disappear and the love will grow i'm not so sure about that part though...

alright goodnight beautiful people

Secrecy Bill

So i was supposed to be blogging about Breaking Dawn and giving you guys an update on the bird sounds, but my heart is not in it after hearing the secracy bill here in S.A was voted in today, this bill basically denies the media freedom.
To those who were around during the apartheid era and to those who know about or have studied apartheid you will be familair with laws similir to the one passed today. Laws that basically denied people freedom and imprisoned people who spoke against the government for as long as 25 years. Is S.A going full circle?
I personally don't know but find it incredibly ironic that the people who fought for our freedom during the apartheid era are now blatantly denying its people and especially the media a form of freedom that was also previously denied to them.
So the big question is what are the people in power hiding? Is this just a big tactic to cover up their stealing of our peoples tax money and ultimately their vast amount of corruption? Because i personally see no other justifiable reason to pass a law that denies people something that was stated in the consituition...
We all know that this country is far from perfect and riddled with corruption lets just hope that we still have people willing to fight against this bill and keep on exposing the government for the corrupted and twisted people they seem to be, because if we don't I fear the worst for a country that is brimming with potential to be on par with first world countries and all together one of the greatest countries in the world.
would love to hear other peoples opinions

Bird Sounds

So tomorrow i write english paper 2 which is basically english literature. Yay! (sarcastic voice).
I don't know a single person that's amped to write a literary essay. Anyway enough about that I've decided to write this post to share a studying tip with everyone:)
BIRD SOUNDS!
for quite a while now my sisters been telling me about her friends brother who bought a CD that had bird sounds on it and was supposedly an excellent tool for stimulating the brain to remember information that was studied while listening to these sounds and he claims that, that cd was in fact the reason he got 7 A's. Now since i figure i have nothing to lose my sister went on 4shared for me and downloaded a whole lot of bird sounds for me to listen to.
Tonight while i study "the Great Gatsby", "Othello" and random poetry i'm gonna listen to them and tell you if they any good. Since this isn't a specific CD that's recommended for studying i don't know if it'll work but why not try it may work:)
better get started :D

PAPARAZZI

Witness 25 October 2011
So yesterday was the day i finally wrote my first matric final exam.. Me and 499 000 other matrics sat down to write it. I firgure i was the only one who nearly burst into tears before the paper was handed to me... and spent the whole of the previous night in tears feeling vey sorry for my poor stressed out butt. Anyway all i can say is that i'm glad that the first ones over and now i only have 13 more to go ;) aren't i just so lucky!

BTW the Witness was terrible from all the many pics they took they ended up choosing the one where i look the most miserable because the damn sun is in my eyes! fail! and i was totally misquoted! i liked the summary, the part i hated was the dumb language, but i"ll just call this my paparazzi moment because it totally looks like i was caught unintentionally... and which celebrity ever looks good in all the pictures taken of them ;)

Partying in the S.A

So instead of studying like crazy like any other matric student i spent my weekend helping my cousin with her law ball which to say the least was a blast.
The ball however is not what i'm posting about it's the story surrounding the ball that i'm writing about. So a close friend of mine has been talking to me about a boy she's liked since we were in grade 9 which was basically 3 years ago. Last year when we finally reached Grade 11 she tells me they dating and i had not seen a girl more in love or crazy about any boy before. We took art together and she'd spend the whole lesson telling me why he's so amazing and my friends and I all came to the conclusion that this guy was one in a million! However this year we started seeing changes happening and it wasn't that my friend spoke any less of the guy it was more that he spoke less to her.
So as this story continues...
My cousin is in 4th Law and so is my friends boyfriend so one day while talking to my cousin about the ball i ask her if Mr Perv (the bf) is coming and she says yes he just paid and i was like oh my word that's so cool my friend will prob be so excited to go and so she asks me my friends name and when i tell her she tells me no... that is not the girl Mr Perv is taking instead i find out he's taking a first year bcom student that he's been introducing as his gf to everyone on campus.
It's usually the most difficult thing to ever tell a friend her bf is cheating especially when the friend is as in love as my friend was...
but it had to be done and when i did tell her she seemed quite reserved and admitted that she had a feeling about this because Mr Perv had recently uploaded pics on fb with another girl.
We came up with a master plan! It involved my friend being at the ball at the enterance welcoming everyone and the jerk in particular. He and his lady love were atleast 2 hours late! and to make matters worse he acted chilled and like he was meant to see her when he came in! He also had the audacity to try and justify what he was doing when she called him outside to speak to him. His excuse was that he was being considerate to her by not asking her because he knew that she'll be busy with exams! what bs! anyway to say the least that relationship is over and i know my friend is better for it:)
girls remember if he cheats once he will do it again so ditch him, you worth more:)

the ninja within i'm probably gonna get killed when some people see this oh well LOL!

let's talk campus

So i've spent the last two days at campus in an attempt to study. lucky for me it wasn't just an attempt and i did indeed get some studying done but this only happened because i was confined to the upper level of the pmb law library and my phone was confiscated while i studied. I must say that campus was full of allergics which is basically unlikeable people and it's by their own doings that they gain this title! Like why do indian girls with a darker than fair complexions dye their hair Blonde! and then further embarrass themselves by carrying those tiny fake 'Guess' bags that we all know they bought in china town and look retarded. I'm a fan of guess just not when it goes wrong. Another atrocity is the tight lycra tshirts with weird bedazzlements that they find oh so cool, can they not see it looks hideous on their tiny or sometimes huge bodies?! Fail!
I've compiled a list of shops that seem to be favourites amongst these girls
1) Jet stores
2) Selfast!
3) Truthworths (some of the stuff this shop sells is really questionable!)
4) City Girl
5) Asmalls (i personally have a soft spot for this shop but it makes some girls look like real fashion don'ts)
6) China Shops! (now i'm a fan of china shops just not chas clothes that just about scream i'm cheap my wearer bought my ugliness from a china shop!)
7) Foschini (questionable)
8) Mr Price ( the weird aisle that sells hectic things)
9) Random shoe shops in town (i will get to chas girls shoes in a bit)
okay so these are all the shops i can think of at the moment however there's prob a whole lot more that i've forgotton.
Let's get to the shoes these girls wear. If it's not running takkies that they pair up with a jeans and fancy ugly tshirt (i still wanna know were they running to?) then it's usually hideous sandals they they either bought from the chinese stores or selfast, i'll post up some pics soon to show you guys an example,:) My cousin actually just got me so badly by convincing me she's buying a pair for her law ball this saturday and out of courtesy i tried being supportive of her only to find out she's pranking me cause she knows how much we both hate them.
i'm going to end this post by quoting a girl i met on wednesday whose also obsessed with badly dressed people, "Can they not look in the mirror and see how badly they're dressed?"

obsessed with skin

I've always been obsessed with skin and this was just reinforced when i got my first dose of break outs in grade 7 which further developed into acne and over the years i've tried so many different things to make my skin amazing that i've lost count of them all. I've even been to dermatologists and taken  doses of antibiotics and been on "the pill" though those things worked to a certain extent i was never truly happy with my skin. So luckily recently i've decided to start using dermalogica a skin care range that is largely available all around the country and i can honestly say i've never been happier.
Dermalogica claim you can go to any beauty salon that sells it for a free skin mapping which is basically them telling you what to use and giving you free samples however the place i went to charged me for the mapping! but they made up for it by giving me a free facial with every 3 products i purchased. i'm  now sitting with 10 products and i stil want more! I've really become a dermalogica junkie! However dermalogica is an expensive addiction to have so if anyone is interested i'd say try the free samples and see if it agrees with you and if you like it and if you do end up buying the products they do last you a long time and when they do get finished and you broke like i usually am i'd say be sneaky and visit all the salons that sell the products to get free samples to use instead;).
Another tip for beautiful skin is taking vitamin A tablets which is what roaccutan (something i'd personally never use) is packed with. This really helps with scarring and clearing your skin and at the moment i'm using a vitamin A supplement that's made by Bettaway and i'm loving it. Also drink lots of water your skin is the last organ nutrients travel to so the least you can do is stay hydrated! and always and i mean always use sunblock! male or female, black, blue or white the sun doesn't look at your skin colour or gender while it's burning.
i know i'll be posting more about skin because i'm truly obsessed so this is it for now.

Say>>> Weeeeed!

So I've heard that weed makes clever people dumb and dumb people clever (don't quote me on this!). So since i most def don't fall into the clever category i tried convincing my boyfriend to organise me weed so i could try that tactic instead to ace my matric exams. He didn't take me seriously, then again no one does they all seem to think that i'm some sort of good girl. I'll get to the mixed up logistics of that statement in another post. So anyway he convinced me that smoking weed to ace an exam was a dumb idea.
Would love to hear if anyone has tried it and if it worked?
oh yeah! he convinced to forget that idea by using religion on me! and it's me usually me using religion on him to get him to back down on silly ideas like photoshoots at sunset (maghrib time if you a muslim which is a time we sort of told to stay indoors:)). Anyway we still have a bet going on and the stakes are pretty heated so i better win, but i know i won't i'm not much of a law breaker or one to get intoxicated, yes i'm boring ;).

So Feel It, It is Here

Why the hell? That's the qustion i am now asking myself I remember all my life anticipating my matric year and in all honesty it has been the worst year ever. Matric is a terrible colour on me!
Anyway today marks the first day of the matric exams and instead of studying for maths like I should i've decided to create a blog to document the mile stones i've passed and are yet to come:).  I'm also rereading "The Great Gatsby" in an attempt to get my parents to stop nagging me about not studying. It has def been the best set book i've ever done and i secretly believe that i was meant to be alive in the 20's, hey maybe i was if you believe in reincarnation and all of that stuff.
