Some inspiration by the script

Yeah, You could be the greatestYou can be the best
You can be the king kong banging on your chest
You could beat the world
You could beat the war
You could talk to God, go banging on his door
You can throw your hands up
You can be the clock
You can move a mountain
You can break rocks
You can be a master
Don't wait for luck
Dedicate yourself and you can find yourself
Standing in the hall of fame
And the world's gonna know your name
Cause you burn with the brightest flame
And the world's gonna know your name
And you'll be on the walls of the hall of fame

You could walk straight through hell with a smile

face masks

So those people who know me will know that i'm obsessed with skin so I've decided to compose another blog post on skin care:)
These are few quick and easy face masks they really help with breakouts and dark spot lightening and can be easily made with basic ingredients in your kitchen.

1) One egg white beaten with a little bit of lemon juice and honey (you can use either one or both it's your choice). Once you beat the egg white till it's a bit fluffy apply it to your face for half an hour and then wash it off with cold water.

2) Tumeric and honey.
You'll need 5 teaspoons of honey and one of tumeric, mix these ingredients together and then apply it to your face. This is an amazing mask for lightening the complexion and getting rid of spots however it is very messy and gets onto everything and the tumeric tends to stain so wear old clothes while using this mask and stay away from white sheets etc...

3) Baking Soda and Water
after washing your face mix together some baking soda and water and apply it to your face and wash off after 15 minutes. Only use this mask if you have an acne or serve blackhead problem. It may not work for everyone

4) Oats
rough oats are a very good as an exfoliator

hope these help. masks can be made from pretty much anything in your kitchen

Too Poor to Dress Well?

I constantly hear girls saying that they can't afford to dress well and frankly i think that's such nonsense!
You don't need to be rich to carry yourself with confidence and look good!
So today i'm gonna give everyone some tips to look good on a tight budget.
1). End of season sales!
Dig through all the junk at these events you'll be surprised at the well priced junk you'll pull     out.  Trust me on this one i've learnt from experience.
These are some of the best shops to sale shop at:
*YDE (R100 sale)- you have to be there quite early though to pick up the good stuff
*Woolies quality sales
*Meltz! such amazing junk sales
*Classic Surf clearance outlets when they have their 50% off everything sale
*Edgars...
the list is endless it just depends what kind of clothes you are into and when that shop has a sale, so keep a look out.

2)  I know i've said that Mr Price is a big no no at campus, however if you can't afford anything else it really is a very reasonably priced shop with the most stylish clothes so pay it a visit. If you want to be  little bit different just purchase your staples from there like jeans, plains tees, classic pumps and vests and  maybe even some accessories, but don't be fooled into buying the bags
as those tend to become a staple with many people.

3) Other shops with hidden gems that are very reasonably priced are Asmalls, Eddies, Meltz and china mall or china shops in general.
Even though I say these shops are worth paying a visit becareful, because it's very easy to fall into the fashion "don't" category. So while shopping think classy! and not chassie;)

-Fake It Till You Can Make It-
(Apt description for those people who can't afford expensive clothes but want to look good, make the cheap stuff work and say no to being a brand whore;))

Campus

So i know I've been neglecting my blog recently. I can blame it on time constraints but that would be a lie, because tomorrow I'm writing my first university test (ecos) yet I've made time to type out a post. It's just that recently I've been uninspired but i think university has gotten my creative juices flowing.

I want to give everyone an update on my UKZN adventures so far.
The first day of campus was horribly boring and the only excitement I got was watching all the girls and guys put on their best clothes for the first day of campus so they could pretend like they big fashionista's (they are not the majority of clothes seen on campus come from Mr Price so it's safe to assume at least 50 other people are wearing the same thing, RT is really represented;)). However as the week progressed I noticed girls and guys got tired of dressing up and jeans, tees, shorts and tomy's seemed to be the new staple.

The second day of campus proved to be more entertaining!
1) A boy came up to me asking me if my bluetooth was on! When did that become a pick up line? when i said no and i asked him why he asked he replied saying that his friend was searching for me on bluetooth because he wanted to send me a message saying I'm pretty. So sad that the so called friend turned out to be a batt... why do i always attract unattractive boys? #LifesTooShortToDanceWithUglyMen

2) I got into my first bitch off!
This weird ice cream of a girl came upto me and tried to make it seem like i was some fake facebook account! Really like i have time to create fake accounts and mess around with people. If i had something to say i wouldn't hide behind anonymity i'd be frank about it. Anyway luckily i had dirt on her and went back up to her and told her to get her facts straight like i have mine about her kissing a boy in our muslim holy month (ramadaan) which is a month of abstaince from food and other stuff. Her justification was that he was her boyfriend... thought that come back was pathetic... it was our holy month she should have at least tried to deny it not sink herself deeper. Anyway it's safe to say that not many people like her or her stuck up bff either because who ever found out what happened took my side! This "fight" turned out to be quite the news on campus!
However i have to point out that worse than their attitudes are their dressing! Good Grief someone tell them they look hideous on a daily basis and nobody likes a constant outfit repeater!!!

Anyway that's all for now... wish me luck for ecos

Inspirations

I've read something on twitter recently that really struck me. Especially concerning what i'm going through at the moment. I'll get to what i read in a little while in the meantime i just wanted to point out how scarce friends and extended family members seem to be during a crisis. With that said I'll quote what i read, "If you reveal your secrets to the wind, do not blame the wind for revealing them to the trees" and something else i also read went like this, "Don't depend too much on anyone in this world because even your own shadow leaves you when you are in darkness". I think we can all relate to these sayings at some point in or lives i just hope that everyone who does or is relating to them eventually finds a person who'll truly be there for them through the hard times.
Just remember everyone we may not seem to think things get better but they do. So hang in there.
